The National Council for Women participated in the Food Africa exhibition, in its tenth edition, which was held from December 9 to 12, 2025 in Cairo.


Professor Mai Mahmoud, Director General of the Women’s Skills Development Center at the National Council for Women, affirmed that the Council is keen to support women and develop their productive and marketing capabilities, which will positively impact improving their standard of living and achieving sustainability for their projects. She noted that this participation comes as a continuation of the Council’s previous participations in the Food Africa exhibition, which is held annually in Cairo and is considered an important platform for communication, exchange of experiences, and cooperation opportunities in the field of food industries.


The National Council for Women’s pavilion witnessed the participation of a number of projects from the governorates of Luxor and Minya. From Luxor Governorate, the Aton Drying Project participated, which is one of the projects that received funding from the project to address the economic motives of illegal migration, in addition to the participation of the Kafoura Project, which presented various chocolate products, and the Nature Kingdom Drying Project, which presented various fruit products.


 Meanwhile, the Minya Governorate participated with the Sakhra Apiary project, one of the projects that received funding, within the framework of the National Council for Women's support for women and their economic empowerment and opening new horizons for their products.
